Cingular needed to define itself in the B2B category. This side of Cingular would be grounded in the attributes that business demands: strength, structure, speed and endurance. We crafted an identity system that would define every aspect of corporate communications.
The Cingular mark would be contained within a metallic cube to convey solidity. Copy blocks were force justified to create structure within layouts. Paper stock was selected to continue the theme. Photography was commissioned to give a picture of business in motion. The suite of corporate communications began with two image pieces: a basic sales kit and a high-end image piece which was delivered to officers of every Fortune Five Hundred company. It went on to include brochures, sell sheets, packaging, letterhead, business cards and in-store communications.
